Hannah is famous for her prayer for a child. A quality I adore about Hannah is that she was a promise keeper. She promised God that if He blessed her with a child, she would give him back to God. As soon as the child's nursing period was over, she gave her only son back to God for His service. It is easy to make a promise, but how many of us really keep our promises?
Ecclesiastes 5:5 says, “It is better not to promise anything than to promise something and not do it.” On the other hand, how many of us are brokenhearted because someone promised us something and failed to follow through?
The Bible tells us to trust in God. One of His names is Promise Keeper! Psalm 145:13 says, “The LORD is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.”
